Karma, Soul Incarnation and Reincarnation

Our Souls are 100% responsible for Us to attract " true good will " which is intrinsically good - good karma.

From the author of this website:

I think that challenges and difficulties of Karma, are imposed on us by a medium or a mediator by way of the "Elementary", the "Shell", the "Spook"; the animal elements or power of desire..., absorbing after death, after the Soul departed, that which it has collected ( through its insatiable desire to live ) during life, i.e. all the astral vitality as well as all the impressions of its material acts and thoughts..., forms the dregs of the animal mind; the "Elementary", the "Shell", the "Spook" or Kama rupa, this has life in it, but in varying degrees hardly any consciousness and is confined to matter.
Denying Soul's ability to incarnate and reincarnate, could motivate a medium or a mediator and must drawn into the currents of its thoughts, when as it were by proxy the "Elementary", the "Shell", the "Spook" in order to impose on us theirs will.
Mediumship; animal, uncontrolled, negative and automatic, the "Lower Psychism", by way of the "Elementary", the "Shell", the "Spook" could take a negative approach. It could attack your Soul through your flesh, by instilling in your mind a thought of suicide, narcissism, extreme selfishness, being angry, reckoning it all together; bad karma, like taking advantage of people when they are the most vulnerable, and other evil works.
Mediatorship; Divine, controlled, intelligently applied, positive, the "Higher Psychism", by way of the "Elementary", the "Shell", the "Spook" will do positive work, good karma; like, to motivate you to be compassionate, loving, forgiving etc.
Keep in mind that a mediator could also act as a medium for its own reasons, think (testing).

The Universal Law of Harmony

This law supersedes even the fundamental law of Karma. For " true good will " is intrinsically good; its value is wholly self-contained and utterly independent of its external relations. Therefore, " true good will " is the supreme potential of balance. The purpose of Karma is to attain harmony. If you throw a rock into a still pond you will disturb the harmony of that pond, you are the cause. The effect is a splash and series of waves on the surface of water that flows back and forth until the harmony is restored. Consequently, your incompatible actions with " true good will " will flow into the Universe and eventually will fell back on you, lifetime after life time, until your own " true good will " is restored.

Among the mysteries that were concealed from the masses was the doctrine of the pre-existence of the soul. In "The True Word", Celsus accused the early Church of teaching the masses the doctrine of heaven and hell while teaching the elect the doctrine of reincarnation. Origen does not refute Celsus, but rather explains that:

In the year 553 A.D., 165 Church officials condemned reincarnation. Prior to that time, it had been a fundamental Christian teaching: following the trail of decisions that changed the world.

By Benjamin Seiler

The Council of 451 Emphasises the Law of Reincarnation.

Reincarnation was never once a topic of discussion. It was held to be a fundamental dogma, which was even reinforced by the Council of 451.
Who could have imagined then that Christian theology would so essentially change with the ascension of Justinian to the throne of the Eastern Roman Empire in 527, that under influence of his wife Empress Theodora it would have a profound unintended consequence occurred that the following centuries would suffer as a result?

In a book " Destiny of Souls " by Dr. Michael Newton who passed away in 2016; book was published in the year 2000.

Dr. Michael Newton writes:

... One of the greatest motivations for souls to incarnate is the opportunity for expression in physical form ...

... People have the idea that free will and destiny are opposing forces. They do not realize that destiny represents the sum of our deeds over thousands of years in a multitude of incarnations. In all these lives we had freedom of choice. Our current life represents all past experiences both pleasant and unpleasant, and so we are the product of all our former choices. Add to this the fact that we may have deliberately placed ourselves in situations that test how we will react to events in our current life, which are not perceived by the conscious mind. This too involves personal choices. We occupy a particular body for many reasons ...

Our Spiritual Path.

The concept of our resurrection into beings who belong in a kingdom of eternity goes far back into human antiquity. From our early origins, we have believed that life and afterlife are sustained by divine intelligence as a single, unified whole. These sentiments come from the memories of many people I have regressed to the Stone Age. For ages since then, we thought of the soul world as another state of consciousness rather than an abstract place. The afterlife was considered to be only an extension of our physical life. I believe the world is returning to those concepts, which were beautifully expressed by Spinoza, who said, "All the cosmos is a single substance of which we are a part. God is not an external manifestation, but everything that is." Our soul energy was created by a higher authority than we can know in our present state of development. Consequently, we must focus on who we are as a person to find that fragment of divinity within us. The only limitations to personal insight are self-imposed. If the spiritual paths of others have no relevance to you, this does not mean the way designed for your needs is nonexistent. The reason for our being who we are is a major truth in life. Where one person may find an aspect of that truth manifested to them, it will not be in the same place for another.
The Divinity is looking to see if the inner immortal character of our soul maintained its integrity in terms of values, ideals and action during incarnation. They want to know if we were submerged by our host body, or did we shine through? Did our soul effectively merge as a partner to the human brain as one harmonious outward human personality? They question souls about the use of power. Was our influence positive, or corrupted by the need to dominate others? Were we led by the convictions of others, demonstrating no personal power, or did we make original contributions? They are not so concerned about how many times we fell down in our progress through life, but whether we had the courage to pick ourselves up and finish strong.
Essentially, we are alone with our soul, yet people who feel lonely haven't quite found themselves. Self-discovery of the soul has to do with self-possession. The capturing of our individual essence is like falling in love. Something within you lying dormant is awakened at a point in your life by a stimulus. The soul flirts with you at first, tempting you to go further with delights that are only seen from a distance. The initial attraction of self-discovery begins with an almost playful touching of the conscious by the unconscious mind. As the intensity of wanting to fully possess our inner Self grows, we are drawn irresistibly into a more intimate connection. Knowing our soul becomes a marriage of fidelity to one's Self. The fascinating aspect about self-discovery is that when you hear that inner voice you instantly recognize it.
That which is meaningful in life comes in small pieces or large chunks all at one time. Self awareness can take us beyond what we thought was our original destination. Karma is the setting in motion of those conditions on our path that foster learning. The concept of a Source orchestrating all of this need not be pretentious. The spiritual externalist waits for reunification with a Creator after death, while the internalist feels part of a Oneness each day. Spiritual insight comes to us in quiet, introspective, subtle moments which are manifested by the power of a single thought.
Life is a matter of constant change toward fulfillment. Our place in the world today may be different tomorrow. We must learn to adapt to these different perspectives in life because that, too, is part of the plan for our development. In so doing, there is a transcendence of Self from the masking process of a temporary outer shell to that which lies deep within our permanent soul mind. To uplift the human mind from feelings of disenchantment, we must expand our consciousness while forgiving ourselves for mistakes. I believe it is vital to our mental health that we laugh at ourselves and the foolish predicaments we get into along the road. Life is full of conflicts and the struggle, pain and happiness we experience are all reasons for our being here. Each day is a new beginning.

Then on Karma:

Karma does not only pertain to our deeds, it is internal as well, reflecting our thoughts, feelings and impulses—all relating to cause and effect. Karma is more than taking proper actions toward others, it is also having the intention to do so ...

Then again in another chapter: ...

Those souls who have been associated with evil are taken to special centers which some clients call "intensive care units."

Here, I am told, their energy is remodeled to make it whole again. Depending upon the nature of their transgressions, these souls could be rather quickly returned to Earth. They might well choose to serve as the victims of other's evil acts in the next life. Still, if their actions were prolonged and especially cruel over a number of lives, this would denote a pattern of wrongful behavior. Such souls could spend a long while in a solitary spiritual existence, possibly over a thousand Earth years.

A guiding principle in the spirit world is that wrongdoing, intentional or unintentional, on the part of all souls
will need to be redressed in some form in a future life.

This is not considered punishment or even penance as much as an opportunity for karmic growth.

Coming to Earth is about traveling away from our home to a foreign land. Some things seem familiar but most are strange until we get used to them, especially conditions which are unforgiving. Our real home is a place of absolute peace, total acceptance and complete love. As souls separated from our home we can no longer assume these beautiful features will be present around us. On Earth we must learn to cope with intolerance, anger and sadness while searching for joy and love. We must not lose our integrity along the way, sacrificing goodness for survival and acquiring attitudes either superior or inferior to those around us. We know that living in an imperfect world will help us to appreciate the true meaning of perfection. We ask for courage and humility before our journey into another life. As we grow in awareness so will the quality of our existence. This is how we are tested. Passing this test is our destiny.

There is no hell for souls, except perhaps on Earth...

Exerpt from some Buddhist text:

Man migrates from existence to existence, driven by the wind of his actions: there must be a Path to deliverance from rebirth and death. This Path must be a certain knowledge or esoteric wisdom, or a certain sacrifice, or a certain asceticism, or a certain ecstatic meditation.

In another chapter Dr. Michael Newton writes:

... Souls are not assigned to babies at random.
When a mother loses her child for whatever reason, I have found the odds are quite high that the soul of this baby will return again to the same mother with her next child.
If this mother does not bear another child, the soul may return to another close member of the family because that was the original intent.
When a life is short, souls call these filler lives and they too have purpose for the parent.
Here is an illustration: I joined a fetus at four months for a three-month existence. During this time my mother needed to feel my soul energy to know that giving and losing life is very profound. I did not wish to let the sadness of losing me prevent her from having the courage to try again. We knew this fetus was not going to term, but there was a good probability of a second child after me and I wanted that partnership with her. She doesn't realize that I was once her son and now I am her daughter. I think I was able to soften her bitterness and grief by sending my mother comforting thoughts in the stillness of all the nights between her two pregnancies. As I mentioned in the section on soulmates in chapter 7, when babies and young children die their souls typically do not rise into the spirit world alone.
Under the doctrine of free will, the events of the past were not inevitable any more than our actions within those events. Fate does not decree that a certain situation has to come out a particular way. We are not puppets on a string. In our universe, when the past is over, these events and the people involved with them become eternal and are forever preserved in spiritual libraries. Since past, present and future in chronological time represent now time in the spirit world.
Souls choosing a gay or lesbian orientation in advance of the life they are now living because they deliberately chose to exist in a society that would be prejudiced against them. My gay and lesbian clients are usually not young, inexperienced souls. If they go public, this means these people have decided to live a life where they will be swimming upstream in a culture with rigid gender role stereotypes. They must try and rise above public abuse in order to find self-esteem and self-identity. This takes daring and resolve.
Earth is considered by souls to be a very difficult school. The great lesson of Earth is to overcome both planetary and private destructive forces in life, grow strong from the effort, and move on. We have the freedom to remake our lives after any catastrophe if we are willing to take the responsibility to do so.
To a great extent we come equipped with what we need to take care of ourselves. Karma may at times seem punitive, but there is justice and balance which we may not recognize in our sorrow. Fear arises when we separate ourselves from our spiritual power. We knew many of the challenges in advance of our life and chose them for good reasons.
While it is true that we are given our bodies by an act of divine creation, everyone's life belongs ultimately to them. If life is a gift, of which we are the custodians, we have certain moral duties despite our own feelings. During our lifetime, the soul and the body are so intertwined that the duality of expression may confuse us as to who we really are. The complexities of this association between body and soul represent an alliance of long evolutionary development going back perhaps to the late Pleistocene era when hominoids on this planet were originally considered suitable for soul colonization. The oldest divisions of our modern brain still remain in place as survival mechanisms.
Ego has been defined as Self, conceived as a spiritual substance upon which experience is superimposed. This psyche would define the soul, but there is an ego of a kind relegated to the brain which experiences the external world through the senses governing action and reaction. It is this functional organism created before the soul arrived that the soul must join in a mother. In a sense, there are two egos at work here. The soul and brain of a new baby appear to begin their association as two separate and distinct entities and become one mind. Some people are bothered that my two entity position, or duality of body and spirit, means that while the immortal character of the soul lives on, the temporary personality of the body dies. Yet it was the soul, in concert with the mind of a body, which created a unique personality of a single Self. Although the physical organism of the body will die, the soul who occupied that body never forgets the host which allowed them to experience Earth in a particular time and place.
Every physical body has its own unique design and the concepts, ideas and judgments of any human mind are directly related to the soul who is occupying that body. As for body matches with the soul, our options are offered to us in good faith for a variety of life designs. Body choices are never used to trap us into something unsuitable for our development. The sphere of life selection is not a department store fire sale of merchandise. There is purpose for both egos behind every body soul match. While the body delights the soul as a means of both physical and mental expression, it is capable of bringing great pain. The lesson of this merger is to forge a harmonious unification of body and soul so that they function as one unit.
I said that no soul is innately evil when it joins a fetus. Still, the soul does not enter with a blank slate either. A soul's immortal character is influenced by all the attributes and temperament of the brain, which challenges the soul's maturity. I have said there are souls who are more susceptible than others in falling prey to negative influences in life. Most of the cases in this book, reflect souls who struggle in opposition or work in harmonious conjunction with their bodies. Souls combating the need to control may not blend well with a body ego disposed to confrontation. On the other hand, a cautious, low-energy soul could choose a rather passive, introverted body temperament in order to institute boldness in concert with its host.
Spirit guides, caretakers of the young, or a member of the child's soul group are frequently involved with meeting these souls right at ground level...

In another chapter, Case 62.
On the body selection Dr. Michael Newton writes:

... Dr. N: Please give me a picture of what takes place as you enter the sphere of life selection.
S: There are two beings who come forward to work with my guide, Fyum. He seems to know them well.
Dr. N: Do you see them in this place before every new life?
S: No, only when the next life is going to be particularly difficult which means a number of hard body choices.
Dr. N: Do you mean more body choices than usual, or more complex individual bodies?
S: Mmm ... usually I get only a couple of body choices and that makes it easier for me...
Then just a few lines below Dr. Michael Newton continue:
S: ... In my last life, I chose a difficult path with the body of a woman who would die within two years of marriage. My husband in that life needed to feel the loss of someone he loved deeply for a karmic debt from the life before.
Dr. N: So there was a high probability that this particular body was going to die young and the main question was would you be the soul who would elect to choose that body?
S: Yes, that's about it.
Dr. N: Well, please go on and tell me the circumstances surrounding your death as a young woman in that life.
S: In the screening room I saw I had three choices of death during a narrow time span involving my life on a ranch near Amarillo, Texas. I could die quickly from a stray bullet during a gunfight between two drunken men. I could die more slowly after a fall from a bucking horse. And I could die by drowning in a river.
Dr. N: So there was a high probability that this particular body was going to die young and the main question was would you be the soul who would elect to choose that body?
S: Yes, that's about it.
Dr. N: Was there any chance you might live?
S: (pause) A slight one, but that would defeat the purpose of my joining with that body...
Dr. N: Which was what?
S: My soulmate and I chose to be husband and wife on this ranch because he needed the lesson. I rejected the other body choices. I came to help him.
Dr. N: Tell me what was on your mind as you looked at the three choices in the screening room.
S: I chose the bullet, naturally. The manner of my death was not about these choices as much as the meaning behind my dying young.

Emperor responsible for ban on rebirth doctrine

In 553 AD the Emperor Justinius had teachings on reincarnation banned.

"It seems reasonable to conclude that the so-called ban concerning the doctrine of reincarnation is the result of an historical error and contains no ecclesiastical authority whatsoever."  The German author, Peter Andreas, expresses this point of view in his book, Jenseits von Einstein. Andreas gives attention to the concept of reincarnation and, particularly, to the manner in which any consideration of the topic was suppressed within the Catholic church — not by profound theological study, but by the action of a Roman Emperor.

In a chapter devoted to reincarnation, Andreas writes:   "The Christian churches have very little indeed to say about reincarnation. They can hardly be blamed because the Bible is apparently sadly lacking in this respect. In fact, we may ask, if the subject of reincarnation is so important — from the religious point of view — why is there so little mention of it in the Bible?

"The few Bible references indicate that from the earliest times supporters and opponents of reincarnation have waged bitter ‘war’. Jesus’ remark to Nicodemus, for instance, "Thou must be born again" can be interpreted as a reference to spiritual rebirth, according to the opponents of the idea (of reincarnation).

"Naturally, the Nazarene must have had his own reasons for not going more deeply into the subject. Perhaps he believed the truth to be too complicated for the limited understanding of people then, and that it was of greater importance to clarify the essence of his teaching and emphasise the message of love. He did not warn against belief in reincarnation.

Nowadays, there is little doubt that early Christians gave more credence to the concept of rebirth than was later the case. The main figure responsible for this change was no churchman but an ambitious, worldly and powerful figure Emperor Justinius. In the year 553, quite independently of the Pope, Justinius had the teachings of the church father Origen (185-253) banned by a synod. Origen had spoken out in unmistakable terms on the question of the repeated incarnations of the soul:

"Each soul enters the world strengthened by the victories or weakened by the defects of its past lives. Its place in this world is determined by past virtues and shortcomings."      De Principalis.

"Is it not more in accordance with common sense that every soul for reasons unknown — I speak in accordance with the opinions of Pythagoras, Plato and Empedokles — enters the body influenced by its past deeds? The soul has a body at its disposal for a certain period of time which, due to its changeable condition, eventually is no longer suitable for the soul, whereupon it changes that body for another." Contra Celsum."

Andreas goes on to describe how Emperor Justinius managed to manipulate the 5th Ecumenical Council in 553 which resulted in the ban against Origen: "Strangely enough, there was not one Roman bishop present at this conference; apart from six African notables there were only Eastern bishops present. A curious feature of this Council was that although Pope Vigilius was in Constantinople at the time of the Council he did not attend. There had previously been conflict between Vigilius and the Emperor and the Empress Theodora. Justinius refused to accede to the Pope’s request for a stronger delegation of bishops from both West and East at the Council and then proceeded to convene the Council himself. The Pope did not attend, as a gesture of protest, and as an indication that he would not be held responsible for the Council. The ruling monarch did not have an entirely free hand, however, since official regulations drawn up during the eight sessions of the Council, which met over a period of four weeks, had to be officially endorsed by the Pope. This duly took place; the documents, however, only dealt with the so-called ‘Three Chapters’ controversy — the work of three scholars considered by Justinius to be heretics. The Emperor had already issued an edict against these men. No mention was made of Origen. Research suggests that suspicions about Justinius were valid. Neither Pope Plagius I (556-561) nor Pope Gregorius (590-604) mentioned Origen when writing about the 5th Council."

But up to now it has been accepted tacitly that the following is the official ban of the Council: "Whosoever teaches the doctrine of a supposed pre-birth existence of the soul, and speaks of a monstrous restoration of this, is cursed.""How did this come about? No-one can say with certainty, but there are strong indications that by some ploy the Emperor Justinius was able to insist on the convocation of a Council, which was delayed, however, by opposition from the Pope. Eventually the first meeting of the Council took place on 5 May 553, not before the Emperor had managed to call several bishops to a meeting at which he (Justinius) presented his ‘Fifteen Anathemata’ refuting Origen’s teachings, and gained the endorsement of the attending bishops. We can safely conclude that the Pope, who wished to boycott the Council, would certainly not have appeared at this meeting, which was precisely what Justinius had hoped for. The meeting prior to the Council was used by the wily Emperor to curtail the Pope’s powers and to pronounce a ban on the teachings of Origen. His scheming succeeded far better than he could have imagined. The church accepted the ban as valid, having been imposed by the Council, and it then passed into established doctrine where it has remained for the past 1500 years. This makes the idea extremely difficult to correct. The subject of reincarnation has therefore not played any role in Christian doctrine, in contrast with other religions.

"Thus it seems right to conclude that the ‘ban’ on the teaching of reincarnation is based on historical misrepresentation and has no ecclesiastical authority. It was in fact a ‘fait accompli’, brought about by Justinius, which no-one within the Christian church has dared to challenge in the course of some 1500 years. What is worse is that the subject has been totally ignored, as a glance at any encyclopaedia will show." (Peter Andreas: Jenseits von Einstein, Econ Verlag, Germany.)

The Mechanics of Karma

by Noel Huntley, Ph.D.

The mechanism of karma appears to be a by-product of the design of life and the universe, and as a result provides a natural scheme of salvation.

We consequently have what we call karmic lessons. Without this karmic law (referred to in channeling as the 'great karmic law'), entities of consciousness would accumulate negativity and eventually become totally fragmented from the whole, resulting in annihilation. In turn this could ultimately destroy the whole. Thus it is desirable to have a mechanism which protects the whole.

The fragmentation results because in order to do something to another, which one would not want done to oneself, one must block off one's ability to perceive the other person's viewpoint. In doing this, one builds up occlusion within consciousness, fragmenting it, lowering the vibrations, and one gradually sinks into increasing unconsciousness. Note that such a process can't be observed when it is a gradual devolution. Consciousness fundamentally can only know its own state.

The karmic law creates debt whenever harm is done to another, which must be paid back. It is a mechanism which safeguards the whole (All That IsGod) but gives freewill to the fragments. Note that the law also pertains to good actions being returned to one, but the consequences of negative actions is of more concern.

It has been stated that this law cannot be annulled but it would appear this doesn't mean it can't ever be overridden by special procedures, either by the individual or on a grand scale by possibly such authorities as the so-called Karmic Board, or God.

In the East, people have retained an understanding of karma, contrary to Western education which omits it. Nevertheless, there has been a tendency, particularly in the East, to avoid helping another in karmic matters, with the misconception that they will incur karma by interfering with the individual's lessons.

However, to the contrary we can know that omission in helping others can incur karma. This is one of the reasons Christianity rejected karma, believing that members would similarly take on this belief in contradiction to the Christian teaching regarding serving others.

Individual karma often occurs in group experiences as group karma in which the members of the group plan the events prior to the particular lifetime. And of course this planning of a lifetime always applies to any individual karma that needs to be resolved similarly, which has resulted from past lives. This karma, created from previous lifetime experience, is brought into events which are planned prior to a lifetime with a view to resolving it.

The physics of karma has been described in terms of 'cause and effect'.

Fundamentally, however, and from the higher viewpoint, in which space and time are spanned, cause and effect is simultaneous. For example, the perpetrator harms the victim. Did the perpetrator cause this harm? From the third-dimensional viewpoint they apparently did, but taking into account more data we know that the victim also attracted the perpetrator. That is, each sought out the other - it is a simultaneous phenomenon.

This is an example of duality - a two-polarity system. The perpetrator pole and the victim pole are interdependent. You can't have one without the other. Evil can't exist without the opposite pole of receivers of evil.

Now this duality gives us a mechanism for the return of energy in order to learn lessons. A whole energy (quantum state) divides into two poles. One pole acts as a debt to pay back the energy. The process of paying back the energy is the same as the process of one pole or energy seeking wholeness by returning to the other to cancel it, leaving a condition of unity (higher dimensionally). That is, the energy seeks wholeness and the poles come together, causing a return to self of what was inflicted on another.

We might expect then that every selfish action splits unity into the two poles of the duality. The condition prior to this division is a harmonious, more four-dimensional one. All energies can operate in phase in this nondual 4D state, which means anyone can duplicate (can be) another's viewpoint and no harm is possible.

But by dividing the unity into two poles, these energies are kept separate (and, in addition, the frequencies are lowered).

Actions on the part of the individual utilizing the energies of one side of this duality can harm another. The other pole, the debt, will then seek the first pole to achieve unity, as this happens the individual experiences the negativity they originally put out. This experience, even subconsciously, can sometimes produce a cancellation of the opposites and a subsequent resolution of the karmic distortions.

This principle of cancellation given here has general physics applications. When we say bringing together the two poles (to cancel the debt/karma), this is the same as phase conjugation in which two wave patterns, one reversed relative to the other (which simply means 180 degrees out of phase), come together and cancel one another. This was achieved with the Priore machine in the 1970s which was developed to cancel disease patterns, before the invention was suppressed.

Another application of cancellation and phase conjugation was achieved by the Germans during WWII. They coated their U-boat periscopes with a material which caused radar to be reflected by 180 degrees, thus canceling itself. Note that in these examples of cancellation there is no reference to the two poles coming together to form a unity as in the karmic examples - this wouldn't be recognized in our current physics anyway - but in fact they do higher dimensionally.

The duality configuration is exactly the same as given in the article on the basic energy unit: the two centripetal spirals of energy coming from the 4D periphery of the vortex to the centre, forms two poles and the subsequent oscillation between them. In terms of physics, the two poles shouldn't be visualized as in 3D, side by side, but one pole 'inside' the other 4th-to-3rd dimensionally (but is symmetrical with it).

Thus if we have two people, A and B, representing the perpetrator and the victim respectively, each will have this duality in their own mind, that is, perpetrator/victim polarity. Person A will, say, be dramatizing the perpetrator, and B the victim (they may change roles in another life).

Each person projects out into the external world the imbalance. Person A seeks a balance by finding a victim B, and person B seeks a balance in perpetrator A. Eventually the duality resolves into unity and wholeness but it appears as though it may take many roles of A and B, alternating from perpetrator to victim until they resolve the imbalance internally by observing their internal condition reflected outwards. Conscious awareness of this will speed up the process.

The ego is essentially a mass of unresolved dualities each influencing the individual to resolve the polarities into unity. We can draw the conclusion that a behavior which involves no effort to resolve these dualities results in learning by misadventure; that is, the basic imbalance reacts to seek balance - person A kills B, and A must now be killed. This is the slow and painful way of overcoming karma - it isn't very efficient.

Is there any other way this could be resolved? It is apparent that if A attempts self-improvement to a sufficient degree, or works in service to others, etc. the basic reaction is alleviated and A will not have to be killed in turn. The very activity of applying effort to bring about change of a positive nature will eventually cancel the karma.

A miraculous change would always be possible, however, in which A perceives the imbalance within self by some therapeutic process or otherwise, and realigns it, resolving the karma immediately. These negatively karmic thoughts are of low frequency and it appears that they are stored as crystallized imprints in cells. It would be ideal to release these, transmute these energies, before they manifest in physical reality.

The mechanism described here will adhere of course to rigorous physics but karma in general will entail various factors that we can envisage as superimposed on the rigid mechanism.

For example, intervention from high levels (already alluded to) and manipulation of karmic energies in situations where, for instance, a large group of people may experience a disaster to offset the karma of the whole race. Also, on the down side, karma can be coded into the DNA to incline people to commit negative acts and then (coded to) receive them back on themselves.

Possibly the most advanced method as far as knowledge is concerned, of handling karma, requiring not only persistence but a great deal of awareness, is through the recognition that the environment is reflecting one's inner state. More specifically, all problems, discomforts, conflicts impinging on one from the environment are fragments of oneself which one has disowned.

This applies even if one is merely an observer of a discomforting situation. If one can understand that these experiences reflect one's own attributes that one has rejected, and integrate these into self - bring them in, not push them away - Karma becomes pointless.

As one may have realized, this method will involve intricate organization of group relationships so that it works for everyone. Science would reject this as impossible but we say it isn't. It actually means that not only is oneself involved in this process but also others, even if it is a simple observation of another's problem.

For example, you observe another's illness (the importance of which will depend how close this person is to you), and if a positive attitude is taken it will include both oneself and one's view of the other person, aiding not only resolving one's own disowned experiences, relating to the observation, but also the other person's illness. The implication here is that more than the ill person may be involved in that person's illness.

Thus the strict and apparent unwavering mechanics of karma on the lower level must be viewed in relationship to a larger context involving other solutions for the karma, along with factors from higher influences, probabilities and intervention.
